Questions:

1. What do you think is the effect of Oracle buying Sun?

  • The effect of Oracle buying Sun that mainframe users should consider is the further integration of storage area networks (SANs) and information lifecycle management (ILM) with databases such as Oracle Database and IBM DB2.This means that the two sets of software would begin to share metadata about data storage patterns (ensuring that storage is optimized for both the individual application and the overall operational-app portfolio) and data "age" (ensuring that new data that's likely to be changed is put on a higher-performance disk, and speeding backup/recovery). And the competitive IT and business services bidding, Oracle plus Sun will be a much more credible alternative than either Oracle or Sun alone. However, the field of competition is now shifting, as users now look not only to reduce TCO in tough economic times but also to flexibly reduce costs by abstracting virtual machines to run remotely in a cloud -- a new variant of capacity on demand. It appears that in mainframe cloud support, IBM is well positioned to offer leadership solutions in the foreseeable future. So Oracle's new service prowess may well affect the share of new market that the mainframe takes; but not the share taken by growing existing installations for new needs. The shift of Sun within Oracle from a hardware to a services sell. No matter what Sun's announced strategy was, the fact of the matter is that the bulk of revenues continued to come from selling hardware, not services. By contrast, Sun within Oracle is effectively a services-led sell. In effect, Sun will finally join Hewlett-Packard Co. and IBM in treating hardware as more or less a commodity. So the mainframe's competitors for market share will indeed get stronger.

2. What do you think would Bill Gates do about this?

  • Bill Gates is an American magnate, philanthropist, author and chairman of Microsoft.Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer. He do this because he want to large a programming language that we used. And to encourage people to know what oracle buys sun and what happen. But it will become compete in other software.Sun created Java, a Windows-independent platform that’s scared the Hell out of Bill Gates for over a decade. He felt painful because of the two company.

3. To you as a student using Java, how will this later affect your learning on the language?

  • I know Java is a programming language developed at Sun Microsystems that we used now a year. And java best-known brands and most widely deployed technologies, and it is the most important software. As a student, its affect to me because I learned more about the software, also the in Java.It is related to my course, the Information Technology.

It is used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system.Examples of input devices are mouse that pointing device that functions by detecting, this mouse its held by the user's. Also the speaker are the external speakers, commonly equipped with a lower-power.Let we know now,the picture i'll captured is a keyboard.Keyboard is a input device, its like a typewriter, with arrangement buttons keys and with a symbols, last decade we use a typewriter. And now many years to come,we use a hi-technology a keyboard now. This picture was named Luxeed U5 LED Keyboard many colored keyboard design you want to use. This hardware technology it is beautiful shows when the light go out. Each Luxeed Keyboard has 430- light-emitting diodes.Just select a color and select the key to assign color. It is refers to computer components, devices, and recording media that retain digital data used for computing for some interval of time. Computer data storage provides one of the core functions of the modern computer, that of information retention. There are the examples of storage devices,USB(Universal Serial bus) its connect to a computer that you save the files. It is connected or disconnected to your computer.Last past year before came the USB,we use the floppy disk is a also data storage medium that composed of a disk thin, the medium encased is a square or rectangle. Now,we used the USB a new technology. The other storage device is SIM chip is a portable memory chip used in some cellular phone. It holds personal information like cell number, text messages and others data. And some example of storage is a memory it is the same other storage but we have a different of that a computer memory are used to stored data or programs. They are many memory to insert out computer because it will need to our personal computer like pc card that form factor of a peripheral interface designed for laptop computers. The other one is a zip disk,I think its look alike of a floppy disk but the capacity of a zip disk only 25 and 100 MB,it is a medium-capacity removable disk storage system. Also another storage devices is microdrive designed to fit in a Compact Flash (CF) Type II slot.I think you have a idea in storage tape or magnetic tape,it is also a storage devices we use in casettes to record our voice,it is a tape formulation, packaging, and data density have been made. And many more storage devices that will used now in daily life.

This device used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system. Outputs device are the signals or data sent by the system to the outside. Some devices like monitor, that you can see the output information, speaker that you heard the sound of your chatmate or others and so on. Some example of the output devices is printer.Printer is a peripheral which produces a hard copy of documents stored in electronic, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies and many more. This gadget was named a Epson Launch Stylus C79 Color Inkjet Printer it is from India that feautures water-resistant, smudge-free and long-lasting printing capability. It is used in school projects and photos, and in a small business. The offers for the ink is pigment ink for black and colour cartridges of beautiful prints.Epson C79 color Inkjet Printer enables users to easily view ink levels and works with the printer to ensure high print quality and trouble free printing. The capacity of printing upto 80 sheets paper capacity per minute for black and white text, and for the colour also the same. The Epson Sylus C79 printer equipped with black and composite color ink that allowing user to change the colour,it can save a money every print. The Epson Stylus C79 Printer a sports unique because of the Photo enchancement which is an automatic scene detection, they give a best photoprint by their own images. The weight of Epson Launch Stylus C79 Color Inkjet Printer is 2.8kgs. The inout data buffer is 32KB.I think this printer you cannot waste your time because of the print speed. The printer have started to trickle out in worldwide.

So what else is inside your computer? We can divide up the guts of a computer into five categories:

  • Power supplies and batteries

The power supply component provides a supply of electricity throughout the rest of the computer. When you plug your computer into a power socket, electricity flows from the cord into a shielded box containing a transformer. The transformer's job is to convert the incoming electricity into the proper voltage for each part of the machine that needs electricity. If you're using a laptop, some of that power goes to the laptop's battery to charge it. When unplugged, a laptop has to rely on the charge inside the battery for its power needs.

  • Drives
The drives in a computer are the devices that let you store and recall data and applications. Most computers have a hard drive -- either a series of thin platters that store information using magnetic recordings or a solid state flash hard drive with no moving parts. In either case, the hard drive allows you to store information and applications directly to your computer.
Older computers used floppy disk drives. Newer computers have optical storage drives like CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives. These drives allow you to use media storage devices like compact discs or DVDs with your computer.

  • Modems and Wi-Fi cards

Modems are machines that let computers communicate with other computing systems. Modems are closely related to wireless cards, which are radio transceivers that can send and receive data through a specific frequency of radio waves.

  • Cooling systems

Cooling systems typically include heat sinks and fans. Overheating can be a serious problem with computers, causing performance to suffer to the point of a system failure in some cases. Heat sinks absorb heat and move it away from critical components. Fans give computers a way to exhaust heat externally. Some computers have more advanced liquid-cooling systems. A water-cooling system uses tubes of flowing water to absorb heat and move it away from critical components.
There you have it. That covers the major elements that are inside a typical computer. Now you don't have to take one apart and look at it yourself. And we get to find out if this computer will still work once we put it back together.

  • Sound and graphics cards
Sound and graphics cards are pretty self-explanatory. They give your computer the ability to display graphics or play sounds and music. Not all cards are the same -- some support more software formats than others. Graphics cards in particular come in a wide variety of specs.
